Founded in South Africa in 1970 and initially part of the Deutsche Babcock Group, the US based SPX Corporation acquired the majority share-holding in DB Thermal and with it access to best in class design and engineering, global collaboration, technical skills and support whilst still ensuring high local content in manufacture and construction activities.

Our collective purpose is to offer our customers quality products and services across the value chain for projects or plants of any size. We offer a full or partial turnkey approach from design and engineering through to commissioning, and later service and maintenance, managed by experienced teams with specific skillsets throughout each phase of a project.
